Cactus Security exists to make practical online safety free, clear, and available to everyone - not just experts or big companies.
Why we built Cactus
Most people are told to "be careful online," but rarely given simple tools to check whether something is actually safe. Meanwhile scams and phishing keep getting more convincing. Cactus turns the checks security professionals run into a few clicks anyone can use - in plain language, for free.
What we believe
- Free and open to all. Every tool is free, with no account, paywall, or catch. Good security shouldn't depend on your budget.
- Privacy first. We collect as little as possible, and some checks never leave your browser at all. We don't sell your data - ever.
- Plain language. No jargon. You get a clear answer and a recommended next step, whether or not you're technical.
- Bilingual by default. Everything works in English and French, for our Canadian audience and beyond.
- Transparent. We run our own tools on ourselves and publish how we handle data on our Trust page.
