Acceptance
By accessing or using Cactus (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Acceptable Use Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
What Cactus is
Cactus is a free, informational tool that analyzes links, emails, QR codes, and domains for signs of phishing and other risks. It is provided for general guidance only and is not professional security, legal, or financial advice.
No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. A clean or low-risk result does not guarantee that a link, email, or site is safe, and a high-risk result does not prove it is malicious. You remain responsible for your own decisions.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cactus and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service or its results.
Acceptable use
You must use the Service lawfully and in accordance with our Acceptable Use Policy. We may rate-limit, suspend, or block access to protect the Service and third parties.
Third-party services
Some checks rely on third-party services (such as Google Web Risk and rdap.org). Their availability and results are outside our control, and your use of those results is subject to the providers' own terms.
Intellectual property
The Cactus name, interface, and content belong to their respective owners. You may use the Service and its results for your own legitimate purposes, but you may not copy, resell, or redistribute the Service itself without permission.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
